ANALISIS DAN PERAWATAN BOGIE PADA KERETA API DI DAERAH OPERASI 3

Abstract

Bogie is an important component on the train that serves to support the load, maintain stability, and reduce vibration during the trip. Bogie conditions that are not maintained can reduce the level of operational safety and comfort. This study aims to analyze the bogie system and maintenance process conducted at Depo Sarana PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operations 3 . The method used is descriptive qualitative through field observation, interviews with technicians, and documentation studies. The results showed that bogie maintenance is carried out in a preventive and scheduled manner, including visual inspection, lubrication, measurement of wheel wear, as well as replacement of components that have reached the wear limit. Common types of damage include wear of brake pads, wheels, and bearings. The implementation of preventive maintenance has proven to play an important role in maintaining the reliability of bogies, improving safety, and supporting the smooth operation of trains
