Abstract

Changes in construction projects are common and often have direct impacts on project cost and schedule. One significant change frequently encountered is the modification of foundation type due to unsuitable soil conditions compared to the initial design. This study aims to analyze the comparison of cost and time resulting from the change of foundation from bore pile to driven pile in the Construction Project of KRIS Inpatient Building at RSUD Brebes. This research uses a case study method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Primary and secondary data were collected, including the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), planned and actual schedules. This study is expected to serve as a reference for decision-making in selecting. The results show that the foundation change significantly affects both cost and construction duration. Driven pile foundations are considered more efficient in terms of execution time compared to bore pile foundations, although differences in cost components were identified. appropriate foundation types for construction projects with similar soil conditions
