Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of quality control of the production process using statistical quality control methods, identify the types and causes of dominant defects, and provide recommendations for improvement in order to improve the stability and quality of the production process. This research method uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analytical method, which aims to analyze the statistical quality control in the production process of motif sarong fabric inspecting section of PT. BHX and able to describe the actual condition of the quality control process based on numerical and measurable production data. The results showed that 95% of production processes are within the limits of control. In January, February, and March the number of sarong production at PT. BHX of 302,940 yards. There are types and amounts of damage including: floating fabric has damage of 10,086, warp breaking fabric has damage of 7,675, tuck in fabric has damage of 6,183, loose weft fabric has damage of 5,638, wrong pattern fabric has damage of 4,075, hole fabric has damage of 1,575, so the total type of sarong fabric damage is 35,232. Overall, the Quality Control System section Inspecting PT. BHX has been well implemented, but still required improvements in the aspects of machinery and raw materials to suppress the number of dominant defects and achieve a more optimal level of quality
